We played the single-player campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops II with Kazooie on Wii U the other day, trying to find some glitches from it. Here are all the strange things that happened during the first few missions...

Some of these things might be already known, I haven't checked.

---

0:00 - it's possible to go out of bounds in one of the early levels when you're on the boat. You have to jump on top of the gun turret on the upper floor. From there, another jump to the lower deck while hugging the wall allows you to go on top of the invisible wall of the boat.

If you're careless when you drop out of bounds into water, the main character may fall through the thin aquatic layer and into the pit below, resulting in death.

0:19 - while OoB, you can jump on top of the crate and take a peek inside early. There's no one inside yet... perhaps the game loads all the relevant character models right as the cutscene that features the crate begins.

0:37 - if you land in the water in a more delicate way, you don't fall through and can instead swim freely in the out of bounds area. You can walk on land on some areas too - overall it's quite a big OoB area to explore. (Some sightseeing follows...)

1:42 - a later mission has you riding on a horse. Surprisingly, the horse is limber enough that it can slip under a tank quite easily. However, this is actually fatal for our hero because he takes a lot of damage in cramped spaces like this (and elsewhere too). A bad case of claustrophobia?

2:00 - you can walk up walls and even park the horse on walls in some places. Spider-Horse!

2:43 - we managed to go out of bounds by parking a horse in a cramped space and then dismounting. There's a large boxed-in area underneath the ground that has no graphics. You can't leave anywhere from there - not even back in-bounds because of 2-sided collision - so you're basically stuck for good once you're there.

3:44 - there's a possible event glitch that the player can do when leaving the base. If you walk towards the trigger at the exit on feet with 'B' held down, so that you start riding the horse with a delay as you hit the trigger... something goes wrong inside the game.

The horse glitches up and loses all its animations. Perhaps more alarmingly, our main character also becomes invisible and all weapon effects disappear. I.e. you can shoot, but there are no sound effects. You are also stuck on top of the horse, without the ability to dismount.

4:34 - when you reach the next area, the game normally boots the player off the horse. However, because of the glitched state, you instead briefly appear at the base where you left from for some reason and then teleport back to the new area - still stuck on horse.

Since you are permanently stuck on the glitched horse (and checkpointed that way too) and can't enter the village with a horse, the mission is unwinnable.

5:56 - after replaying the mission from the start, we got this random game crash at the part where you have to set the explosives near the village entrance.

6:12 - after a second or third full replay from the start of the level, our playthrough was halted once again by a mysterious trigger oddity that prevented the level from continuing. We visited the weapons cache and got Woods to come there too, but game didn't give a new objective. The level was just stuck that way for good.

6:45 - we found an OoB glitch from the Strike Missions-tutorial level too. For some reason, taking a troop at a corner near the jets and switching away from them teleported the troop out of bounds. If you then switched back to the troop and walked a short distance, you fell into a boxed-in area underneath the map.

Your troop is basically doomed after this point, and switching away from them again kills them for whatever reason.

7:34 - the entire four member team suffered this same grim and unexplainable fate. This caused the tutorial to become unwinnable because you still need to target a troop from the tactical view a bit later on, but there's not a single one around!
