This episode satirizes consumer IT versus corporate IT and how people with out-of-the-office computers skills are sometimes called rogues in the enterprise, though the business cases for corporate IT are rock solid. Some of us take longer than others to figure it out and learn why things are done the way they're done when it comes to budgets and managing tech expenses in a corporate environment lol. đ
The "corporate computer storm" references corporate computers that still had hard drives being bottlenecked by newer applications at the time. I'm happy to report that since making this cartoon all I ever see is SSDs now since hard drives are pretty much a baked-in productivity loss with how slow they are. đ
It's funny though how I'm satirizing corporate IT not wanting to upgrade desktops with SSDs then I actually saw numerous Ivy Bridge desktops get upgraded to SSDs before we finished running them into the ground and retired them. Ahhhhhhhhhhh techno-bureaucracy. đ
...and it's about time Chez Le Nerdees made another appearance in the series since the original pilot. đ
