I almost wanted to start off the video with “Oh shit, here we go again” but then I’d get a copyright strike and we don’t want that. The news is that Archeage and Archeage Unchained will be getting another new publisher on 2 December 2021. Kakao Games, the majority shareholder of XL Games, will be taking over publishing responsibilities for the game.

I don’t expect miracles to happen with the Unchained brand, but I think if Kakao listens to their customers, and does a fresh start server, they could really have a solid product for several months during this MMORPG drought.
