The Canadair CL-215 (Scooper) is a multi-role amphibious aircraft that has been primarily used to fight fires. This model for FSX, developed by Massimo Taccoli is quite possibly the best freeware you can find for the CL-215.
The aircraft does come with a 3D VC (virtual cockpit) but as expected with freeware, it's pretty rudimentary as the development time (and skill) for virtual cockpits is great.
The model features a fully-featured cockpit that has a 3D virtual VC with levers, handwheels, and pedals animated. Also included are doors opening, access ladder, engine cooling flabels are animated, and also the propeller blades with the possibility of blades pitch change. The cabin also has virtual instruments illuminated at night, landing and taxi lights emitting of light beam.
The exterior model has been created from many pictures of the real CL-215 and represented in the highest detail possible.
The file is released as freeware which means it is free to download and use.
Compatible with all versions of FSX including the Steam Edition.
