FreeMeshX is a stunning freeware global mesh scenery enhancement for Microsoft Flight Simulator X (all versions including Steam Edition) and Prepar3D (all versions including the latest v4).
We have confirmed this is also compatible with the latest Prepar3D v5 (P3Dv5) and will add greater detail to the default mesh.
Developed by Nine Two Productions (FreeMeshX) and released as freeware, this package brings mountains, hills, valleys, and cliff edges to life in high detail.
When FSX was designed, the entire globe (apart from the USA) was released with mesh detailing of LOD6-LOD9. Some users noticed that mountainous regions were not as detailed as they should be with rounded peaks and shallow valleys. This global scenery add-on brings the entire globe up to LOD10 (38m) giving crispness and depth to the terrain.
The entire package was created from over 400 GB of raw terrain data and compiled into a format the flight simulators understand at ~45 GB.

It’s a large download and may take a long while to download.

This add-on can be used stand-alone or with other freeware or payware scenery.
The file is released as freeware which means it is free to download and use.
This video was created in P3Dv4 (v4.5).
Compatible with all versions of FSX including the Steam Edition and compatible with all versions of Prepar3D including v4/v5. Tested (and confirmed) in v4.5 and P3Dv5.
