Candlelight PC Gameplay Part 2 - Elemental Fury - Let's Play

Part 2 of Candlelight, a super cute platforming side-scroller developed by a relatively new indie game studio called Pixel Maverick Games.
In Candlelight, you play as a lone candle in a world under siege by the monsters of darkness. All of your candle buddies have been snuffed out, and it's up to you to bring light back into the world by running, jumping, flying, and fireballing your way to victory.
The game features well designed puzzles and platforming, all with an art design and polish impressive for the studio's first title. There's a distinct emphasis on world interaction, as your candle can both affect and be affected by the environment in a myriad of ways. Candlelight also boasts some snazzy physics effects that help add weight and believability to the world.
The visual effect that stands out most is the game's clever use of dynamic light. The player character is a light source, and the game world is filled with objects that interact with the character's dynamic light in interesting ways. Simple features of the environment, like trees, rocks, and blades of grass, create myriad shadows that dance and extend all around the fore and background, giving the game a uniquely melancholic feel that perfectly compliments its theme of a world whose light has died.
The sound design is also a particular delight - the candle's movements sound weighty and charming, and the soundtrack fits perfectly with Candlelight's natural and somber art design. The whole thing feels like a relaxing jaunt through a forest at dusk, which is most certainly a good thing!
I noticed there weren't a whole lot of reviews, previews, or even just simple gameplay footage of Candlelight (or at least no gameplay footage from the most recent Steam build), so I figured I'd oblige and upload some gameplay of my own. I love platformers, so it was no trouble at all.
