When Wendy Puccini left Venezuela due to the economic and political crises in her home country, she settled in Peru.

A Master Chocolatier in Venezuela, Wendy tried to make it in that business in her new home, but couldn't find her way. She decided to retool and make pastries instead. But she was in need of business training to ensure she could make a go of it making and selling her delicacies.

Through the WOCCU Economic Inclusion Project's School of Dreamers, Wendy learned how to develop a business plan so she could reach her customers in a more efficient way. She was also able to access seed capital that allowed her to purchase more supplies for her business.

Funded by USAID, the three-year Economic Inclusion Project (2020-23) aims to support 100,000 Venezuelan migrants and refugees in Peru and Ecuador achieve socio-economic security.
