Captain's Log... Cabin - Beta Weekend 2 - Icarus
1Continuing on with our adventures on Icarus, we unlock the ability to build ourselves a wooden shelter, and so more easily ride out the storms. But safety is still not guaranteed - the forecast is for stormy weather.

Showcasing an upcoming survival exploration game, developed by an NZ based studio. Icarus will eventually play out like some cross between Deep Rock Galactic and Satisfactory, but with the tech tree more like Ark. Currently the beta weekends are just focusing on the main micro elements of the gameplay loop, where you carve your own niche onto the failed terraforming project world of Icarus. Later there will be macro progression where you choose limited time session missions, drop to the surface, achieve your objectives (or not) and launch back up to the space station. Miss your launch window? Perish forever.
However there will also be a persistent Outpost region with more limited difficulty, where you can enjoy the fruits of your labours and just manicure your own little patch of the planet.
