Everspace is a roguelike space exploration style game, with combat simulator elements, following in the footsteps of games like Freelancer, or Darkstar One.
Finishing our first run in the Sentinel, and making sure we invest in some of the required upgrades for next time, especially energy recharge. It may be a Light-ning Gun, but it is heavy on the energy drain. I can see how the Sentinel might be many players' favourite ship, though the lack of a second primary weapon does bother me - I do like my Shock Rifle for those long shots.
