Cavalcadence plays Cadence 43: Speedrun, sub-12min (5 zones) (All Zones Mode: AMPLIFIED)


So just for fun, I thought I'd try some 5-zone Cadence speedrun attempts. ^^ Of course, like with Melody, my first several attempts didn't go very well (lots of careless mistakes!)... so again I decided to set a more reasonable goal than just trying to go "as fast as possible". ^^;

15 minutes seemed to work well for Melody, so I thought I'd aim for a sub-15 with Cadence as well. And after quite a number (a lot more than Melody!) of failed runs (including three(!) with a Glass Axe)... this run happened. Yep, my fastest ever 5-zone Cadence win (so far), and the weapon I used was... an Obsidian Warhammer?

Wait, what?

Yeah, even though the Warhammer generally isn't the best speedrunning weapon (you can't move while attacking, and due to the large attack area, you can easily get "stuck" attacking things when you really want to move instead), somehow I managed to end up with not just a sub-15... but a sub-12! =)

So anyway, here it is... my first ever 5-zone Cadence sub-12 win! Hope you enjoy!


The mini-bosses and bosses I encountered during this run were:
Zone 1: Green Dragon, Gray Minotaur, Red Dragon, & Deep Blues 1.
Zone 2: Banshee, Gray Direbat, Red Dragon, & Death Metal 2.
Zone 3: Nightmare, Blue Dragon, Gray Minotaur, & Coral Riff 3.
Zone 4: Ogre, The Mommy, Blue Dragon, & King Conga 4.
Zone 5: Metrognome, Gray Minotaur, Green Metrognome, Dead Ringer, & The NecroDancer.
