Cavalcadence plays Monk 11: 5-zone All Zones Mode (GFR) (All Zones Mode: AMPLIFIED)
So after competing 5-zone All Zones Mode with Aria, I thought it might be fun to play through with some other characters as well. ^_^ I thought I'd try Monk, both to see how he played in Zone 5... and also to see (hear) what the Girlfriend Records remix (which I've been using for Monk, for quite a while now) is like in Zone 5 gameplay!
My first few runs with Monk didn't go so well, mostly because I was testing out some of the new weapons... and wasn't really used to using them in general, let alone with Monk. ^^; After going back to more comfortably familiar weapons and strategies, though, I started doing a lot better. =)
So anyway, here it is... my first ever 5-zone All Zones Mode win with Monk! Hope you enjoy!
The mini-bosses and bosses I encountered during this run were:
Zone 1: Direbat, Red Dragon, Minotaur, & King Conga 1.
Zone 2: Green Dragon, Minotaur, Nightmare, & Coral Riff 2.
Zone 3: Minotaur, Green Dragon, Minotaur, & Fortissimole 3.
Zone 4: The Mommy, Nightmare, Ogre, & Deep Blues 4.
Zone 5: Minotaur, Metrognome, Minotaur, & Death Metal 5.

22:20 Ow. =/ Oh right, longsword strat would of course be different from dagger strat. ^^;;
22:21 I guess that wasn't too bad for my first try with this strategy. ^^;; Well at least my armor reduced the damage down to only half a heart of damage. =)

33:18 Finally decide it's not worth the risk, then suddenly remember I have a Shield Scroll(!), use the scroll... and then accidentally lose the beat. ^^; Ah well, since I've already committed by using the scroll, might as well fight the arena enemies. ^^

34:24 Ow. =/ Suddenly realized I was about to surround myself with gold! ^^; I wish I could say I intentionally took the hit to reduce the obsidian longsword damage to 1, so that it would knock back the yellow skeleton instead of killing it... but in all honesty, I just sort of froze in half-panic, while checking to see if I had any bombs left. ^^;;
34:31 Well that sequence of events could've gone better... =p But at least I didn't step on any gold. =)
