CBNST: Beating the Developer Time w/o Hobslides - Cold Hard Crash (CB2) 1:14:51 [PC]
Another very lenient developer time, but this is one of the most annoying levels in the entire trilogy in terms of level design and time trial as you are pretty much guaranteed to fail at least once before reaching the end of the level. On the plus side however, you can take advantage of the zombie glitch as well as getting the invincibility here, though it’s easier said than done in this level. And from here I'll split into multiple parts for the tips to beat this level's developer time:
Part 1 (The Beginning of the Level) – Grab the stopwatch as usual and make your way to the platform which sends you up to the next section as quickly as possible. Along the way try not to take any damage from the hazards and enemies and make sure you get all the time crates in this section, especially the ones placed above the iron crates.
Part 2 (The Side Scrolling Part) – Try to make your way to the death route platform as quickly as possible. Like the first part, you had to get all the time crates and try not to take any damage from the hazards and enemies.
Part 3 (The Death Route) – This part is the first opportunity where you can get the invincibility. Once you got the invincibility, quickly slide through the ice all the way to the end of the death route. Alternatively, if you did the zombie glitch and somehow lost an Aku Aku mask (not two of them though) prior to the 3rd Aku Aku mask, try to slide through the ice all the way to the end of the death route as well, except you had to watch out for the hazards and enemies since they can still hurt you.
Part 4 (The final 3D platforming part) – Once you reached this part you will notice that there’s another Aku Aku crate nearby. However, ignore this one unless you hadn’t got the invincibility yet. If you got the invincibility here, just simply rush through all the way to the end of the level. If your invincibility ends here, try to go through all the way to the end of the level while avoid taking any damage unless the hazards are in your way.
Currently I'm really happy for my time as I had beaten the developer time by almost 15 seconds. Though I had to admit that I need a grand total of 6 hours (within 2 and a half days) of grinding here in this level.
