Genesis Alpha One (GAO) is an interesting game: it's a first-person building, resource management, research, FPS shooting, resource gathering, tower defense, and more game. Yes, that's a mouthful.
You need to manage EVERYTHING... from reactor capacity to modules, from breathable air (depends on which species you end up cloning and researching... ) to managing weapon types and weapon ammo, from research (better weapons, cloning, etc.), to clearing your ship of bad infestations (but there may be good infestations as well), from setting up defenses with barriers and turrets to assigning crew members to specific modules, it's all up to you.
You can also lead landing parties to secure artifacts and mining on planet, or leave it to your AI clones, and they do gain experience... As you uncover artifacts, you can use them to improve your ship, your crew, and yourself.
There are probably TOO MANY things to talk about. just watch the video... and it will be a bit long...
We'll discuss picking the starting corporation (this you can only do if you managed to finish GAO once, i.e. declared a Genesis Planet, and did the final mission thing, so it acts as more of a "Game Plus" mode), what to do initially, how the clones gain rank (mainly by doing things), how to defend your ship by seeding it with lots of barriers and turrets, how to build a defensible ship with limited lanes of access and thus little chance of infestation, and so on.
