-------------------------

Today's CDP features a DARK crescendo of archetypes as the Orcust make a return bolstering the capabilities of the small Appliancer archetype. The Orcust consist of DARK Machine monsters that can be banished from the GY to activate various effects, and then shuffled back into the deck for re-use by their Link Monsters. For example, Orcust Harp Horror gets to banish itself to Special Summon another Orcust from your Deck. Once you have the theme's Field Spell, Orcustrated Babel, out on the board, all of these effects become Quick Effects, letting you use them during the opponent's turn! Now the last key Orcust monster today is Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star, a R8NK Xyz that breaks rules by being able to use a sole Orcust Link Monster as material. We'll come back to him later.

Let's transition to the rest of the strategy first, and I'm starting with Appliancer. This theme of Machine monsters leverages a few Level 1 Appliancer monsters to Link Summon Appliancer Celtopus and various LINK-1 monsters, each of which has an effect when co-linked and one when not. This theme suffers from not having quite enough cards to sustain a win condition, but Appliancer Socketroll and Appliancer Copybokkle make a great team at spitting out tons of Link Material for other DARK Link Summons, especially once you factor in the theme's Field Spell, Appliancer Electrilyrical World. Due to the Link Arrow positioning of Celtopus, the Appliancer also mesh extremely well with the Codebreaker theme, giving you even more DARK Material. Now what do you do with those Material? Make The Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche, that's what!

Skipping to the plot, Bardiche offers you additional disruption capabilities, augmenting those of a traditional Orcust deck to something to actually be feared. You see, you can use Bardiche to get two copies of Phantom Knights' Fog Blade via the effect of The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots, but I prefer to grab a copy of Phantom Knights' Rank-Up-Magic Force, a fun Quick-Play Spell that can upgrade your Dingirsu into a RANK 13 Raidraptor - Rising Rebellion Falcon at the small cost of banishing 5 DARK monsters from your GY to nuke the opponent's whole board! Dial this DARK Link strategy up to 13, with the combined might of all of these archetypes!
