-------------------------

Bring on the space Rituals, as the Drytron soar back onto my channel in a pure display worthy of the stars themselves. The Drytron archetype consists of LIGHT Machine monsters that carry a very interesting restriction: If their core support cards use their effect to Tribute a Drytron or another Ritual to Special Summon themselves, you cannot Special Summon monsters during the same turn, except for those that can't be Normal Summoned or Set. This makes for an interesting combo deck, as you can use leverage them to summon their boss monsters, such as the R1NK Xyz Monster, Drytron Mu Beta Fafnir. The other super unique aspect to this archetype is that its Ritual Spell, Meteonis Drytron, can Ritual Summon any monster from your hand or GY by tributing Machine monsters whose total ATK is equal or exceeds the ATK of the Ritual monster. Unlike most other Ritual decks that care about Levels, the fact that most of the Drytron are Level 1 just doesn't matter much.

Now the whole reason I'm covering Pure Drytron today is due to the new support, so let's talk about the three new cards. First up is Drytron Meteonis Alpha Draconids, a new Level 12 5000/5000 LIGHT Ritual Boss monster that protects your other Drytron monsters from being destroyed. Additionally, up to twice per turn, it can banish Drytron monsters from your GY to negate your opponent's monster effect activation and destroy that monster. Combined with Mu Beta's effect, this gives the Drytron deck multiple avenues for in-theme destruction, which is especially important given the next 'Nu' card. That new card is Drytron Nu2, another Level 1 Monster that can Summon itself from the hand or GY whenever you control another Drytron card. If Special Summoned by card effect, Nu2 tutors any other Drytron monster; however, if you use its effects, you can only Ritual Summon Machine monsters during the turn. Combine him with Ultimate Bright Knight Ursatron Alpha, and you can tutor any Drytron Card! As for the final new card, that would be a new Continuous Trap, Meteoaurora Drytron. It can recover banished Drytron cards, removing the one major weakness this deck used to have - losing your cards to your banishment. It also gives you an effect to Ritual Summon during the opponent's turn, at the small cost of revealing Meteonis Drytron. With these new cards, hope you enjoy charting a course through the stars with Drytron Fafnir!
