-------------------------

Today's CDP features the return of the Mitsurugi to my channel, this time including all of the new support cards from Alliance Insight! Since that is the inspiration for this build, I'm just going to start there with the new Level 8 Ritual: Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi, or 'the Blue one'. Once per Duel, the Blue one can be revealed to Special Summon any Mitsurugi from your Deck, then you tribute a monster you control. In other words, this is the perfect starter for the theme, as if you summon Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Saji, you get any Mitsurugi S/T, or if you summon Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Aramasa, you get any Mitsurugi Monster. From there, all of the plays you've grown to love from Mitsurugi Ritual are in full effect, especially now that there are three Ritual monsters to choose from. You may worry that Mitsurugi Ritual isn't enough anymore since it can only be used twice in one turn, but now you can also turn to Mitsurugi Mirror or Mitsurugi Magatama to Ritual Summon, plus the first shuffles itself back into the deck to ensure you always have something to tutor to reborn a Tributed Mitsurugi Ritual!

This is a great place to segue into the second half of the deck, the Tachyon archetype. The Tachyon strategy since its TCG release in Maze of the Master has been to leverage Level 8 monsters to Xyz Summon big Dragons. While I am running the FTK in here with a copy of Catapult Turtle to grab off of Seventh Tachyon, that isn't the only way to win, nor is it the only application of the Turtle. You see, it can also tribute a Mitsurugi to Tribute Summon itself, plus it can tribute another one to burn. That gives you two additional Mitsurugi tributes, if you need it in a pinch. Even if not, the Tachyon cards add a lot to a Mitsurugi endboard, with Tachyon Transmigration serving as additional negates or Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy pressing your opponent to use their Spells wisely. Either way, I hope you enjoy this take on the new Mitsurugi support, but even if not, I have another cool ALIN-inspired build coming your way next!
