Welcome back for the fourth Type-centric CDP of the month, and this time we're venturing into the world of the Psychic Type. Over the game's existence, there are three primary mechanics associated with the Psychic-Type: LP costs, Synchro Summoning, and banishing, so why not cover all three with today's profile? Let's talk LP costs first, and there's no bigger cost for the Psychic deck than its OG core monster: Overdrive Teleporter. With Overdrive, you can pay 2000 LP to Special Summon 2 Level 3 Psychic monsters from your deck. Options include Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit or Psychic Wheeleder for your Tuner or Hushed Psychic Cleric or Risebell the Star Adjuster for your non-Tuner, giving you everything you need to make a Level 6 or Level 9 Synchro Summon. Or, you can choose the alternate route which is to leverage Psychic Processor to get more of your Psychic monsters out of the hand and onto your field. That's nothing new, but in today's build, I take Overdrive up a notch, because I chose to run him alongside Interdimensional Matter Translocator. This Continuous Spell can banish a monster on the field then immediately return it to the Field, and while that's a mostly useless effect, it does work well with cards that can only activate their effects once while face-up on the Field! With that, we've already hit all three characteristics of the Psychic deck, so let's dive into the assisting archetypes making a cameo appearance here.

First up is the Kashtira, a theme most known for its face-down banishing capabilities, and it is comprised of Level 7 monsters that can Special Summon themselves while you control no monsters. Most also can tutor you a Kashtira card; for example, Kashtira Fenrir tutors a Monster, Kashtira Unicorn a Spell, and Kashtira Ogre a Trap. In this build, once you grab Kashtira Birth, you'll have a steady flow of non-Tuner material to unlock even bigger Synchro options! Next up is the Synchro-focused theme, the Assault Mode! Led by Psi-Reflector, a Level 1 Psychic Tuner who with Assault Beast can effectively Synchro Summon any monster from Level 6 to 9. Also, Hyper Psychic Blaster/Assault Mode makes your deck feel that much more 'Psychic', but you can also turn to Assault Reboot to bring out T.G. Halberd Cannon/Assault Mode if you want to feel less Psychic. The last theme is Virtual World, and in here, it's mainly its Extra Deck monsters making an appearance, as they tend to play better in a pure approach. That said, Virtual World Hime - Nyannyan is a great Level 3 non-Tuner Psychic option as well, as it can Special Summon itself back from the GY as a Tuner whenever a Level 3 monster is Summoned to your field! Oh, and don't forget P.U.N.K. JAM Dragon Drive as another Psychic Extra Deck option for tutoring any Level 3 Psychic you may need! Emergency Teleport or Emergency Apport, these Psychic monsters come to your field.
