-------------------------

Welcome to today's CDP, this time taking the Subterror archetype and giving it a new facelift with the reveal of the new card, Master of Ham. Master of Ham is a Level 5 Fusion monster, typically made with 2 Beast monsters (but in here via Instant Fusion), that Special Summons a FLIP monster from your deck when Fusion Summoned or flipped face-up. As a result, this is the perfect way to add additional routes to getting your initial Subterror Guru to the board. Where this takes a turn for the better is once you factor in the many ways that a Subterror deck has to flip cards up and down. Remember, once Guru sets your Master of Ham, it won't be destroyed by Instant Fusion in the End Phase, so you can continue to summon as many FLIP monsters as your heart desires. Like Subterror Behemoth Ultramafus, or Subterror Behemoth Umastryx. If only there was a way to tutor Instant Fusion... oh wait, there is!

In today's build, we're definitely straying from the hard control Subterror decks have become lately, as we are including the Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio/Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra combo, which tutors an Instant Fusion while giving you two Plants to play with. Turn those two into a Cross-Sheep, and you'll even get more value out of the combo. My personal favorite use of these extra monsters is to eventually Link Summon Borrelguard Dragon, a LINK-4 which can Flip your face-down monsters face-up once per turn, such as flipping Master of Ham during the opponent's turn to summon extra monsters from your deck.

Beyond these Ham-ed up combos, the Subterror deck functions as you probably already know. Control the duel with floodgates like Summon Limit and Necrovalley, while you push for game with amped up Subterror monsters due to the fun effects of Subterror Final Battle. If your opponent tries any funny business, just negate it with Subterror Fiendess: Don't worry, they won't mind once they stare at her artwork. Venture into The Hidden City, with a new Master of Ham leading the way!
