I don't think the TCG is ready for this.

-------------------------

Hi and welcome back for another CDP, this time developed specifically for an upcoming TCG meta once PHNI releases in a few months, centered on the Horus archetype. By this point, I've covered the Horus theme numerous times, but the short version of their description is that they are a bunch of Level 8 Monsters that can Special Summon themselves from the GY while King's Sarcophagus is on the field. This massive +4 swing in card advantage every turn is very difficult to keep up with, even before you factor in their effects which give you more card advantage when another card you control leaves the field by card effect. The second major theme in today's build is the Sinful Spoils archetype, supported and led by Diabellstar the Black Witch. This Level 7 Spellcaster can easily Special Summon herself from the hand, and when you do, you get to set a Sinful Spoils from the Deck, such as The Original Sinful Spoils - Snake-Eye or WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils. Much like the Horus theme, this advantage snowballs over time, as WANTED includes a GY effect to draw an additional card, and Original includes a GY effect to tutor a Level 1 FIRE monster. Speaking of Level 1 FIRE monsters, I don't think this hybrid strategy would use any of the actual Snake-Eye monsters, but there are two great options: Jet Synchron and Horus' Servant.

No you didn't read that wrong, I am talking about the Level 1 Horus monster that does nothing to support the new Horus theme. After long theory-discussions with Dan, I was convinced to try out this tech card and it works super well. You see, King's Sarcophagus carries an effect to send an opponent's monster to the GY that a Horus monster is battling, and with something like Servant, you can apply that pressure without wasting an attack from one of your more powerful Horus monsters. It's also a Level 1 FIRE, meaning accessible through Spoils plays, and there is really no downside to keeping it on the field while your Sarcophagus prevents your opponent just attacking over it for easy OTK-level damage.

The last piece of this description will talk about why I think this will be an effective meta deck. First, it is very consistent. Between Stone Wall of the Imperial Tombs and 3 copies of Imsety, Glory of Horus, this deck will be able to get to King's Sarcophagus every single duel. If that isn't enough consistency for you, Ken the Warrior Dragon and Gen the Diamond Tiger will get you there with their additional 2 draws (and discard), as well as the inclusion of 3 copies each of Triple Tactics Talent and Triple Tactics Thrust. The second reason is that it can easily play the best Unlimited card in the game - Eradicator Epidemic Virus. This Trap card single-handedly shuts down a ton of strategies, as it can rip all Spells or all Traps from the opponent's hand and field. Sure, Monsters are still the premiere card type in this game, but your opponent will be hard pressed to OTK through a Horus board without those support cards. In terms of a Tribute for Eradicator, that's Imsety, and you'll get him right back to your field on the next turn anyways. You also have solid access to Eradicator, with all the draw power from Horus, Sinful Spoils, Ken/Gen, and even the Armored Xyz package which pairs so well with Ken/Gen.

Finally, the last major selling point for this deck is that it can really leverage the best the Extra Deck has to offer as a toolbox for all occasions. With the Level 3 LIGHT Ken/Gen and Level 7 DARK Diabellstar, you have access to Chaos Angel. Slam two Level 8 Horus monsters together, and you can make Number 68: Sanaphond the Sky Prison to prevent an opponent's Horus deck from bringing back monsters from the GY. Need to banish cards sent from the Field to the GY? Virtual World Kyubi - Shenshen is only a Jet Synchron + Horus away. How about banishing cards sent from the hand/deck to the GY? Combine Jet Synchron with Herald of the Arc Light. This strategy just has access to any tool that would hard-counter a specific deck; heck, you technically can even run Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 and Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 in your side deck, to side in against a Spell-heavy strategy, because LV6 will always be able to destroy a Ken or Gen you summon to the opponent's field in battle.

Anyways, I really hope you enjoy this YGOrg-homebrewed strategy, and look forward to seeing your comments about whether or not this could be the next meta deck!
