Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Batman: The Animated Series for the Game Boy developed and published by Konami.

He is the night! He is vengeance! He is Batman! Join Gotham's darkest knight in this slick and challenging Game Boy beat 'em up. Batman: The Animated Series brought the award-winning TV series to the Game Boy for the first time, recreating the style and tone that made the show so popular. The game begins with a beautiful intro sequence before revealing that the Joker is planning another typically Joker scheme. It's up to you to stop him, as well as several other villains from the show, including the Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman and more. The game is actually more of an action platformer, as the levels emphasize lots of wall jumping and ceiling climbing. Remind you of any other Game Boy games about super heroes? The game is very difficult, but for patient players who are up for the challenge, this is a fantastic Game Boy beat 'em up. Batman: The Animated Series is a single-player game.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Batman: The Animated Series for the Game Boy and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
