Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Hamster Monogatari for PlayStation developed and published by Culture Brain.

Ferret Monogatari happened, but the world wasn't ready for ferrets yet. So Culture Brain turned their attention across the pet shop and settled on hamsters, kicking off a series of animal-raising simulations that would persist on several systems for years to come. This PlayStation version was the very first Hamster Monogatari title, and laid the groundwork for the series to come. Part collection, part daily care-and-maintenance, part dude-who-can-talk-to-hamsters fantasy, Hamster Monogatari became a strong player in Culture Brain's lineup.
