Procyon might seem like just another SHMUP on the wild wastes of Steam, but after sitting down with it, you realize that the primary difference is in the tone. It's a game that embraces the far-reaching absurdity of the genre, the concept of one guy in a super-powered starcraft going up against wave upon wave after waves and waves of enemies, armed only with a spread cannon and a beam cannon, both of which can be charged up because some dolt connected 'em to the shield battery.
