Featuring an original story from the creators of the comics, Ultimate Spider-Man brings the pages to life as never before. Following Treyarch's Spider-Man 2, Ultimate Spider-Man maintains the same general structure and gameplay, but it gives that game a slick new style. Through a kind of cel-shading technology, Ultimate Spider-Man's characters are able to have both solid ink outlines and real 3D shape. It's an impressive style that looks beautiful in motion, particularly during the game's explosive boss battles. Although its game world is smaller than Spider-Man 2's massive city, Ultimate Spider-Man is still fun to explore, and it's packed with races to win and crimes to stop. The combat has also been tweaked, allowing Spidey to bounce between enemies and walls like a pinball. If you like Spider-Man, this stylish beat 'em up is a must-play.
