Some games aren’t for the feint of heart. Sniper Elite makes those games look tame. A stealth-based shooter, Sniper Elite III is the latest in Rebellion’s long-running—and over-the-top—war game series. These games are known for embracing the long-distance element of war. And maybe the x-ray bullet wounds, too. Each level has several different paths and options for players to pursue, but the consequences are the same—getting noticed by the enemy is a bad idea. It’s not exactly a serious approach to war games, but if you’re looking for a simple stealth game with strong mechanics and gory closeups, Sniper Elite III delivers.
