When Vikings Attack! is kind of a weird idea. If you turned Pikmin into a multiplayer-focused game that takes place in the 9th century, the result would be pretty close to this game. Vikings are attacking—an unexpected turn of events given the title—and it's your job to help the people fight back. Controlling a group of survivors similar to a Pikmin horde, you pick up any objects you can find and throw them with fatal intent at your invaders from the north. Benches, crates, bombs, even cars—if it's not nailed down, you can throw it at the vikings. The game is very simple to play, which is both good and bad. It's accessible, but also a bit repetitive. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a great PSN game, When Vikings Attack! is a fine choice.
