I come to bury Sonic, not to praise him. It's kinda dicey, since there's a lot of really strong ideas in this game, as well as graphics that make you second-guess the fact that it is, in fact, a Game Gear game. But ultimately, and quite unfortunately, it is this same overexertion that becomes a bear on actual playability, as the high-speed Sonic the Hedgehog antics that you know and love aren't really effective with such a large sprite-to-screen ratio. Shame, really.
