Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Zoom! for the SEGA Genesis developed by Discovery Software and published by SEGA.

Zoomer is like an egg. Guy. Or something. To be honest, no one knows. Scholars maintain the true meaning of Zoom! has been lost for centuries. This bizarre Genesis puzzle game puts players in control of the weirdest character ever and gives them an equally weird objective—blow up the grid and kill the scrubbing brushes. No, we're not making this up. Zoom! combines the line-drawing gameplay of the arcade game Qix, the chase gameplay of Pac-Man and hot dogs to create something all its own. But perhaps the most surprising thing about this game is that it actually plays pretty well. Zoom! is a fun and fiendishly difficult puzzle game that sort of looks like the 80s and 90s ate each other. We mean that in a good way. Maybe. Zoom! is a single and multiplayer puzzle game for the SEGA Genesis.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Zoom! for the SEGA Genesis and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
