Seig now squares off against the Murdoa Ruins boss; a weird demon plant monster blocking his path. Boss battles, up until now, have been relatively easy. But, this boss battle changes that.

Not only does Seig have to be careful of the main boss (its weak spot being the face looking shell), but also its attacks and the things surrounding it. The boss attacks include a shockwave that can knock Seig down and a powerful tentacle attack that can cause him serious damage.

The other annoying enemy Seig has to contend with are a more powerful version of the Egan enemies that shoot lasers. Get Seig caught in their crossfire, and it will juggle him for some serious damage. At first, they are easy to manage, but, later will become more of a nuisance as they can hone in their attacks towards Seig.

Use the Blasphemy/Bomb legion to attack Maponos's shell and slash away at its core. Be careful when the shell slams down as it will release a shockwave. Have Seig jump or dodge when this happens. Go behind the Egan enemies and keep an eye on the red line pattern it shoots out. At the start, ignore the Egan enemies, but as the boss's health bar gets low, concentrate Seig's attacks on taking out the Egan. Just have Seig take his time and use a combination of the Blasphemy Legion/Sword Slash attacks, and the stage boss will soon fall.

For his troubles, Seig is awarded the Claw Crest/Flawed Legion.

After defeating Maponos, Seig has a run in with Delacroix, which doesn't turn out well. Arcia tries her best to stop him, but she has no luck either. Later, we learn a bit more about the legend of the Three Dark Glyphs.
