Charge 'N Blast (Dreamcast)
114Charge'n Blast don't even have a page on Wikipedia. That's how small this title is. On the back of the box they tout that it's made by the same team as House of the Dead and SEGA Bass Fishing. Yes, that would be the developer SIMS Co.
SIMS Co was until 2005 a joint venture with SEGA themselves, so this could game could be considered 2nd party software. SIMS Co is still around today, but produce very few titles.
So what about the game? It's hard. It's relentless arcade hard. But that's because it is an arcade game that has been ported to Dreamcast. The game is fairly easy to control, but the timer is your worst enemy. Dear lord.
Charge ‘N Blast places you in the suit of one of 3 marines in powered armor charged with clearing out each level of aliens before moving on. Repeat.
Interesting title, while it lasts.
