The Mooseman, part 4.

Ooooh, so it turned out that Shondi was actually the sun, carried by the Six-Legged Moose which Yen hunted. When the the Six-Legged Moose was killed, Shondi fell into the Lower World - where we found her :)

Now, it turns out that we can utilise some of Shondi’s power, the Light of Shondi, which will protect us from harmful spirits! Something that I need to put to good use in this particular episode :p

This video also features the story of the great Mang-Onth, the ancient deer, who shaped the world and created the great and thick Forest of Bones.

We also encounter the first boss battle of The Mooseman. As we venture back from the Lower World, we need to pass The Long Road and the Orts (human spirits, if you recall) trapped by the great spider, Cheran, the Lord of the Dark D:

The story of The Mooseman takes place in the shamanistic Finno-Ugric tribes and as a one of the mythical Moosemen, we start a journey to the land of the dead, with the ability to see into the spirit world and the world of the gods. The Finno-Ugric tribes inhabited areas from Finland through Estonia, parts of Russia and down to Hungary.

The Mooseman is a 2D puzzle adventure game, with an amazing mysterious atmosphere, created through a beautiful artstyle and great soundtrack, much reminiscent of Limbo (http://store.steampowered.com/app/48000/) and Inside (http://store.steampowered.com/app/304430/). The puzzles of the game have to be solved be weaving in and out of the worlds of the gods, man and spirits. This creates an interesting gameplay, which is very much connected to the religion and myths of the ancient Finno-Ugric tribes :D

The reason that I’ve picked up The Mooseman is quite simple. If you’ve followed me and my channel, you’ll know that I have a soft spot for games with an interesting and beautiful artstyle, and the puzzle game genre :P Add this on to the fact that I love learning about the ancient religions of the world, and I just HAD to buy and play The Mooseman! :3
