The Mooseman, part 2.

This game is so interesting and so atmospheric, that I just want to learn more about this Finno-Ugric culture - Something I never even heard of before noticing this game xD

Having crossed the Sir-Yu river and escaped Osh, the Guard of the Underworld, in this episode we find ourselves inside a cave with strange paintings on the walls. These paintings might be telling us a story that we need to progress.

In the Lower World of this cave, a large and mysterious spirit stands guard. The spirit warns of of the path we’ve chosen and the consequences, but who is he? Could it be the legendary Kodym-Osh?

The story of The Mooseman takes place in the shamanistic Finno-Ugric tribes and as a one of the mythical Moosemen, we start a journey to the land of the dead, with the ability to see into the spirit world and the world of the gods. The Finno-Ugric tribes inhabited areas from Finland through Estonia, parts of Russia and down to Hungary.

The Mooseman is a 2D puzzle adventure game, with an amazing mysterious atmosphere, created through a beautiful artstyle and great soundtrack, much reminiscent of Limbo (http://store.steampowered.com/app/48000/) and Inside (http://store.steampowered.com/app/304430/). The puzzles of the game have to be solved be weaving in and out of the worlds of the gods, man and spirits. This creates an interesting gameplay, which is very much connected to the religion and myths of the ancient Finno-Ugric tribes :D

The reason that I’ve picked up The Mooseman is quite simple. If you’ve followed me and my channel, you’ll know that I have a soft spot for games with an interesting and beautiful artstyle, and the puzzle game genre :P Add this on to the fact that I love learning about the ancient religions of the world, and I just HAD to buy and play The Mooseman! :3
