Just a demo showing the dynamic LCD marquee working on my Chewlix cab. It doubles as a marquee for non pinball games, and then it functions as a DMD for pinball games. No changing hardware/wires/connectors etc, it's all taken care of in the launchers. It powers on and off with the cab. It's set and forget.

The clarity of the lcd screen is very high, it's natively resolution is around 1280x400 pixels. It may not seem like much but that resolution on such a small screen, is capable of displaying a fairly high quality image. So long as your source graphic for the marquee is high quality and created at the proper original resolution. If you use shit quality graphics files for the marquee, and not the correct resolution, then it will look like ass.

The video doesn't really do it justice, it washed the colours out quite a lot... i'll be the first one to say it looks shit if it does, but i was quite surprised at how well it works. The only issue is the viewing angle. I had to mod the top plate where the speakers and the lcd are instsalled to make it angle down towards my face more. From side on it looks a little weird, but front on it looks normal. It's REQUIRED to do this, otherwise the viewing angle of the LCD is angled up and it looks turds.

It fits really well in the area between the top two speakers.
