TTX2 multi for Stock TTX3 Taito Type X3 Hardware - 31k CRT/720p Image - DOWNLOAD LINK - Candy Cab
This is nikos TTX2 multi updated to work with the TTX3. THERE ARE NO GAMES ON THIS IMAGE! It's just multi menu only, without any games. Why? For me this means I have no use at all to own a TTX2 now, as TTX3 can handle this and TTX3 multi stuff.
Download, extract, write the image to 250GB SSD with balena etcher or dd.
You just need to get the entire games partition from your TTX2 multi and copy it to the games partition on this one. Don't use dumps you find floating around the net, just use the ones from nikos TTX2 multi. 1 for 1 copy of the games partition. I can't tell you where to find that with games either. If you can't see the partitions in windows after you write them, make sure you assign a drive letter in computer managemnet.
This works on a fully stock TTX3 with FASTIO only. NO JVS support at all. It uses the I5 cpu / 660gtx model TTX3. It's setup to work on that system. I didn't test it with the lower spec 640 video card model but it should work fine on that as well. DIP 1 on your TTX3 will control 31k/720p support. Yes it matters, make sure you set it to 31k if you're pluggin it into a 31k CRT.
WARNING: The TTX3 splash screen is NOT 31k, it's 720p. So you need to keep that in mind, your screen might not like it. My Atomiswave SD doesn't seem to be too bothered by that short period where the splash screen shows. Maybe try and turn off the splash screen, that might fix it. I didn't try it before posting this.
Image #1 - For use with stock TTX3 systems. Every game works @ 31k except KOF 98um and KOF 2k2um. Both of those games DO NOT work @ 31k on this image, they do however work at 720p. I know what the cause is, i just don't know how to fix it. It's because of the newer windows xp drivers that are in use on this image to support the later 660gtx card. The image needs these drivers to work with that 660 card, but it makes those 2 games not work at 31k. It's a game compatibility issue with the newer drivers. I've tried the original 7900gs card as well and it also doesn't work with these games at 31k on these newer driver. Otherwise everything works. So just remember, it doesn't matter what card you use with this image, those games don't work @31k becuase of the way they talk to the newer driver and something it doesn't like. Changing GPU won't fix this, only going back to the older video driver will... which is what image 2 is for.

Image #2 - For use with a fully stock TTX3 system EXCEPT, you are using an older 7900GS video card in your TTX3. This image is the same as the one above except this image still has the old video driver in it. With this old video driver, kof 98um and kof2k2um both work at 31k, however this older video driver doesn't support any cards newer than the 7900 nvidia series (it's an old driver). It'll blue screen on boot if you try to use any newer card. I'm just throwing this one up there as well because it's a good way to play those KOF games, 2k2um has 31k background sprites and they look sweet on crt. So if you want to use this image, you really want to pair it with a 7900gs graphics card swap as well. Keep the SSD aside with that video card as a pair.

If you don't care for KOF 98um and KOF2k2um @,31k just use the first image. Everything works fine.
If you know how to patch KOF98um and KOF2k2um for windows XP to work at 31k using the newer nvidia drivers, feel free to post how and i'll patch and update the image. dgvoodoo2 will fix it on windows 7/10, but it doesn't work on windows xp, so that method won't work. The odd thing is, it works fine @ 720p, it's just when the game tries to run @31k the graphics don't work. The game is running, you can coin up and hear it playing, you just can't see it as there's static garbage onscreen. Some way the game talks to the older drivers that the newer drive doesn't like at that resolution.
Anyways, don't hassle original creator about this, it's a mod of this image, i also can't give support. It works for me. I'm using a xpertvision 7900gs for image 2. Cost me $10 and works fine.

You should be able to use older nvidia cards as well, they should be supported in the driver, on image 1 and image 2. BUT, you probably won't be able to use much newer cards. If you're upgraded your GPU to a newer card than 660, the video driver in image #1 probably won't support much newer than the 600 series, if at all newer.
It's a niche thing, probably not at all usefull to many, but someone might find it usefull. It's a nice way to run KOF2k2um @ 31k at it's best.
No JVS, No JVS, No JVS. FASTIO only. I'm not touching JVS. I don't use it, and it may not be possible to make it work with the TTX3 hardware anyways.
