Chewlix / Vewlix TTX3 Multi Video Marquee Demo / Video Games + PInball DMD Taito Type X3
A better demonstration of the video marquee/pinball DMD in use on my Chewlix cabinet with TTX3 multi. The game is direct feed capture, the marquee video in the top left is captured with a camera and overlayed onto the main video live. The camera is set to autofocus, so when you see the focus go in and out, that's just the camera doing it's thing. It's not on the actual machine.
0:00 CPS2 Games
19:39 Fighting Games - MK, MK2, MK3, KOF15, SSF2T HD Remix
23:44 Pinball Games with DMD on LCD
28:15 Alternative operation mode (marquees change with game scroll)
The screen is a 14.9" LCD running at 1280x390 resolution from aliexpress. I installed it between the speakers above the screen. Check out my previous video for an overview video of it. I discovered a small issue whilst i was making this video. After a number of marquees had been loaded they started to delay a bit before loading on some games. I fixed that issue now, no more delays, i just hadn't encountered it until i tried to load so many one after the other in this video. The link to the LCD I used is here

Some thing to note.
- The backlight bleed and washed out look on the marquee is NOT how it displays in real life. The camera i'm recording the screen with makes it look very washed out and i don't know how to set the camera to avoid this. There is some backlight bleed, but it's no worse than the average LCD that comes stock on the Chewlix anyways.
- There's 2 modes of operation i've managed to get working so far.
MODE 1 = the marquee is static when scrolling through games, and changes to the game you want when you run it.
MODE 2 =the marquees change as you scroll through games, and disaply when you play the game as well.
- You really want to use high quality artworks for the marquees. If you use low resolution or images with jpg compression artifacting, they look real bad real quick on these screens. If you use high quality artworks to make your marquees, they look really really good. Avoid black backgrounds as much as possible, just because the bleed doesn't look as nice.
Please don't ask for me to provide any links for any software downloads. If you want to find something try google.
