Done for Week 5 of TRP-STGT 2017: https://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic...

I was pleasantly surprised by this game. I had a good amount of fun with it despite restarting on the first stage 90% of the time; it was easily the most fun game of the tournament (especially for scoring) and is now my second-favorite game developed by NMK (after Thunder Dragon 2).

The game is a caravan-style game with four stages. There are also three different courses which each have unique first three stages but share the same final stage; the tournament I was playing this for focused on Medium Course. There are infinite lives, but each stage has a score threshold that must be reached before the time limit to proceed to the next stage. Similar to many caravan games (and TD2), scoring consists of destroying enemies quickly to spawn enemy waves faster, and performing various tricks on different enemies such as destroying all their projectiles. Also similar to TD2, there are a plethora of medals that enemies drop, one type of which increases in value to a maximum of 10,000 points as you pick them up without getting hit (the gold bars). Getting hit resets this medal value and also your power level, so even though the game gives you infinite lives, taking a hit is still costly.
