Chrono Trigger PSX / NDS: Time to Rest - After the Battle (SFC version)
I recreated this Playstation/NDS exclusive song on the Super NES using the frequency tables that Chrono Trigger used, trying to use the echo settings the PSX used, however more echo = more sample memory usage. As it is I think I used 57k for this song in SPC700 memory.
I had to resample the "ticktock" sample, and the horn to be lower quality to make it all fit.. needless to say, had this song been done in a real gaming situation, Yasunori Mitsuda would have to sacrifice an instrument or two.. (The DS version already sacrificed the harp..but I think it's because the song was recreated in a rush.. all the SNES music from the DS game sounded perfect notation-wise, however the extra bonus menu musics were all redone kind of inaccurately)
Anyway I'm rambling. Enjoy the song.
