1The Original Game Boy is one of the biggest 'game changers' in the history of video games, and essentially ushered in the popularity of handheld games. There are many games that will be classic forever. There are, however, a much, much higher number of simply awful, forgettable, or downright weird games. CiB Game Boy Theater shows you some of the games you might not (and shouldn't be...) familiar with.
Ahhhh yes, another sports title. Epic. NHL Hockey 95 is one of those games that is technically amazing -- the fact that they can have such a detailed sports game on the Game Boy is a technical marvel... but it's terrible. Maybe it was so awe-inspiring back in 1995 that people looked past the 2 frames per second, but it's really, really hard to play. NEXT!
I will say, I went into Rugrats: The Movie with absolutely no expectations of this game being anywhere near 'good', and I am still extremely disappointed. What... is this? Before level 1: collect twenty-something items. Okay sure. *collects item* *nothing happens* uhhhh? But on the THIRD level, you better believe it's time to actually start collecting those items. But you better not get hit ONE time, or they will all go flying away.
This game... was made... for children. What in the absolute world. And you know what? Like I said on the video, this is an AVERAGE Game Boy game. We have played much worse. And I'm sure we'll continue to play even worse. Lord help us.... thanks for watching.
