CiB Let's Try - Akuji The Heartless (PS1)
0Akuji The Heartless was released in late 1998 (December 31st, 1998 according to Google, but that seems kinda off) for the PS1, and was developed by Crystal Dynamics (Gex games, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, Tomb Raider reboot, Marvel's Avengers), and published by Eidos (which is now Square Enix Europe, which made FEAR EFFECT!!!).
That first paragraph is probably the most interesting part of the game. It's a pretty standard 3D action / platformer game, that would be perfectly fine if it didn't run at -such- a slow framerate.
To be clear, I'm not one of these hardcore PC players that notices drops from 200 to 150 frames. We're talking more like drops into the single digits in this game. Certain areas are near unplayable, and that's just the first stage.
I do like the lore / world-building they've created here, I just wish the game was a little more palatable. Thanks for watching!
