CiB Let's Try - Thrasher: Skate and Destroy (PS1)
Thrasher: Skate and Destroy was released in late 1999 for the PS1, and was another in a long line of 'It's not Tony Hawk' skateboarding games. It was developed by Z-Axis (Dave Mirra BMX, BMX XXX, and Guitar Hero Van Halen for some reason), and published by Rockstar, who published Earthworm Jim 3D, baby!
So, after trying this game out, it seems like Trev and I are just plebs - people seem to absolutely love this game. We realize in these Let's Try videos, we only give the game about 10 minutes, and sometimes our initial reaction won't follow the reality of playing the game through. I appreciate the realism of the game, but in our brief time with it, boy was it hard to do anything. It seems like this is a pre-cursor to the 'Skate' franchise, which was a much more realistic take on skateboarding than Tony Hawk. I've never played the Skate games, but I can assume I'd be too pleb to like them, hence, the major suckage here. Regardless, thanks for watching!
