CiB Let's Try - El Viento (Sega Genesis)
El Viento was released as a Sega Genesis exclusive in November, 1991. It was developed by Wolf Team, who made a ton of / all of the 'Tales of' games, and published by Renovation Products, who also published some of the Valis games for Sega Genesis.
'El Viento' means 'The wind' in Spanish. So to summarize, we have an extremely Japanese style game, that takes place in America, which is named in Spanish, and has an extremely American style box art. Sweet!
I picked this game because I never heard of it before. I was expecting something absolutely awful, but this is a solid platformer that is in no way worth the price of admission. There's something about the early 90's anime that came to America style that is very drab and boring, yet comforting, and I feel the same way about the totality of El Viento. Definitely one you want to play and experience yourself -- any way you can. Thanks for watching!
