CiB Let's Try - King of the Monsters 2 (SNES)
King of the Monsters 2 was originally an arcade game in 1992, then ported to the Neo Geo AES, amongst other systems. The SNES port was released on December 22, 1993. Although the game was originally developed by SNK, some of the porting work was done by Now Production, who also developed Splatterhouse 2 and 3 (Genesis), Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu (NES), and Sonic Riders (various), just to name a few. King of the Monsters 2 was published by SNK.
We made a small mistake in gameplay by starting with single player, then doing co-op mode. We should have started with co-op, but that's part of these Let's Try videos.
Overall, this is a really solid port of an arcade game -- it plays well, the sprites are large and great looking, and most importantly, there is zero slowdown in the game. This is definitely a game that I could play through the whole way - especially co-op. Unfortunately, it does have 'friendly fire' in co-op mode, so you have to be careful of that, but overall this is a really solid, fun, co-op beat 'em up that can be had for a reasonable price.
Oh, if you're going to be playing on singe player mode, choose the monkey character. Thanks for watching!
