Ninja: Shadow of Darkness was released in September 1998 for the Playstation 1 system. It was developed by CORE Design (Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider 2, Fighting Force 2), and published by Eidos (Fear Effect!, Tomb Raider).

Ninja: Shadow of Darkness is definitely not what I expected. I expected somewhat of a Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, maybe Akuji the Heartless, and instead, it's a point-based arcade style 3D beat-em-up. The game does everything decently - it looks fine, it runs fine, it controls fine, the gameplay is fine - but that's about it, it's fine. In 2021, this game is mostly an afterthought, and repetitive after 10 minutes. Regardless, thanks for watching!
