WCW Backstage Assault was released for the PS1 on October 31, 2000, and what a spook of a game it is. It was developed by Kodiak Interactive (WCW Mayhem, Monsters Inc, and only 2 other games), and published by the eternal Electronic Arts.

This game is well-known as being the worst WCW game, and in contention for the worst wrestling game ever made, and we can definitely see why. They took something from a wrestling game that should only be a nice little bonus (going backstage to fight) and made it the whole game, and made it very, very bad. We had a lot of fun making Jeff Jarrett into a monster, though. Seriously, stay away from this one, unless you need another game where you play as Scott Steiner, aka BIG POPPA PUMP~
