CiB Let's Try - Bloody Roar (PS1)
1Bloody Roar was released on October 31, 1997 - Halloween Day - on the Playstation 1. It was developed by Hudson Soft (BOMBERMAN!!!), and published by Sony themselves, which is why the first 3 games were Sony exclusives. Only 5 Bloody Roar games were ever made - Bloody Roar 1-4 were published by Sony and on the PS1/2, and Bloody Roar: Primal Fury was brought out on the Gamecube and Xbox, not the PS2. Weird.
Anyway, this is a 3D fighting game made in 1997, so we can't be too tough on it. In my opinion, the two genres that age the worst are generally 3D fighting games, and first person shooters (there are some exceptions to the rule, like DOOM).
Bloody Roar is a pretty bare-bones game all things considered, that really is only a two-button fighting game. It's an interesting series - four major releases and one side-story in the span of about 7 years, and then the series was done. Maybe we'll try Bloody Roar 2 on the channel sometime.
