CiB Let's Try - Pong: The Next Level (Ps1)
3Playstation 1 is truly the 'Wild West' of video game systems. In the early days of 3D, it seemed like every developer tried to throw their hat into the massively popular PS1 ring and produced some of the most random, odd games of all-time. Recently, we sat down with a stack of PS1 games we never heard of, and the results are... unsurprising.
As I mention during the video, I have some pretty intense nostalgia for this game. I really like when games take a very simple idea (and how can an idea be more simple than Pong) and really expand upon that idea, without losing the merit of the original idea.
Honestly, this is one of those games where 15 minutes isn't enough to show off the sheer variety, but, I definitely feel that a full Let's Play would be too much. It's one that you can play 15-20 minutes at a time, and eventually beat it, but sitting down for an hour and recording wouldn't be all that interesting.
From what I saw, I definitely still feel that nostalgia! I definitely recommend this game to anyone. By the way, the developer, Supersonic Software, made essentially all garbage besides this, include Antz Extreme Racing, and Starsky & Hutch. So, consider this their one actual video game.
