Contra: Legacy of War was released in 1996, developed by Appaloosa Interactive (Ecco the Dolphin, Tiny Tank, South Park for PS1), and published by Konami.

I'll admit it - I don't generally like Contra. I find that most redeeming qualities are overshadowed by the difficulty, and Contra: Legacy of War is no different.

In positives, it runs MUCH better than expected, with a nice framerate, and decently fluid controls. Really surprised on this. Unfortunately, the ridiculous difficulty makes the game unplayable, unless you a) put in a code, or b) play it over and over and over, learning each part of each stage as you die and restart, and die and restart.
