Playstation 1 is truly the 'Wild West' of video game systems. In the early days of 3D, it seemed like every developer tried to throw their hat into the massively popular PS1 ring and produced some of the most random, odd games of all-time. Recently, we sat down with a stack of PS1 games we never heard of, and the results are... unsurprising.

After trying out FOX Sports NBA Basketball 2000 and being pleasantly surprised last week, I thought we would take a chance on another PS1 NBA game --- this one is developed and published by Midway, the creators of NBA Jam, so it's gotta be awesome, right!

....Well, we can't always be lucky. There was something about the FOX Sports game that separated it and made it a wacky, fun time. NBA Fast Break 98 is exactly what I would expect out of a PS1 basketball game, and that's just whatever in the current game climate. Can't win 'em all. Thanks for watching!
