CiB Let's Try - Olympic Summer Games (PS1)
2Playstation 1 is truly the 'Wild West' of video game systems. In the early days of 3D, it seemed like every developer tried to throw their hat into the massively popular PS1 ring and produced some of the most random, odd games of all-time. Recently, we sat down with a stack of PS1 games we never heard of, and the results are... unsurprising.
Olympic Summer Games was developed by US Gold (who made a few games during this period, nothing of super note), published by Eidos.
What did I expect from this game? A really generic, early PS1 sports game.
What did I get? Track and Field for the arcade/NES... in 3D.
Seriously, this is one of the most pleasantly surprising games we've seen so far on the PS1 Let's Trys! I almost wish we had more time with it. The load times are a bit much, and it's difficult to figure out how to set 2 players, but once you do, this is a very fun multiplayer game, even nowadays. Definitely recommended!
