CiB Let's Try - Power Shovel (PS1)
0Playstation 1 is truly the 'Wild West' of video game systems. In the early days of 3D, it seemed like every developer tried to throw their hat into the massively popular PS1 ring and produced some of the most random, odd games of all-time. Recently, we sat down with a stack of PS1 games we never heard of, and the results are... unsurprising.
I've seen this game from time to time, and always thought it was a little more expensive than average due to just being uncommon - I was NOT expecting something as thoroughly Japanese as this. Look up the American (NTSC) box art and you'll see what I mean.
So yeah, this is one of the few Let's Try PS1 games that we are pleasantly surprised about. It gives a very Point Blank kind of vibe, and brings that standard Taito wackiness. Given more time with it, I'm sure it's one of those games that are very impressive to 'git gud' at.
