CiB Let's Try - Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman (PS1)
Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman was released on September 30, 1999 as a PS1 exclusive. It was developed by UEP Systems (5 different snowboarding games, including CoolBoarders 1 &2, and this lol) and published by the GOATs at AgeTec.
Now this is what a weird PS1 game should be. It has way more story, voice acting, and presentation than expected, its story is silly, and even though I only played it for 20 minutes (about a week ago at this point), I still fondly remember it.
As it is with any action game pre-Devil May Cry, it is a bit (or a lot) rough around the edges, but trust me when I say any of those negatives are far outweighed by the positives. It looks like a standard playthough is about 3 hours long, which really is perfect for this kind of game - pure action games can outweigh their welcomes quickly. This would be a great addition to any PS1 library, and you should play this one 'any way you can' - thanks for watching!
